9 Best THC-Infused Seltzers For An Alcohol Alternative

The Good Trade editors endorse products we’ve personally researched, tested, and genuinely love. Learn more about our methodology and business model here.

As I navigate reducing my alcohol intake, I’ve turned to THC-infused seltzers for chilling out and winding down. Over the past year, I’ve tested dozens of hemp-derived seltzers to see which ones are best — and here they are!

As I get older, I realize more acutely how drinking alcohol impacts my body and my mind, and I’m looking for options that support my ease without being so harmful. In the past year, I’ve started to swap in the occasional THC-infused seltzer to see how it goes. Spoiler alert? They came on too strong at first and increased my anxiety a bit, so I was mindful about a slow introduction. But a few months ago, I decided it was time to take a bigger leap into my “California sober-curious” journey and explore more THC seltzers. (If you are not familiar,”Cali Sober” simply means you don’t consume alcohol, but you do consume THC in some form.) I went from being a casual, infrequent user of THC to implementing it into my weekly rhythm to help support my stress, sleep, and activity levels.

For a lot of us, opting for a THC alternative is about swapping the harsh edges of alcohol for something a little more gentle — without losing connections to your social rituals or waking up groggy the next day. (And, not to mention that there really aren’t any health-promoting benefits to alcohol). For others, it’s a lifestyle change for pain management, stress reduction, or social anxiety support. You might even be coming to seltzers as harm reduction after smoking or vaping — no matter why you’re here, you’re welcome!

But the question on everyone’s mind, truly, is how can this be allowed? Federal legislation has historically been harsh on cannabis and related products due to a variety of factors which include, notably, racism and xenophobia. Currently, cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug, and tens of thousands of Americans are still incarcerated for possession of it. Before we dive in, it is important to note that we must continue to put pressure on our state and federal legislators to ensure that laws around THC and cannabis are consistent, just, and retroactive.

That being said, here’s the deal with what is and isn’t allowed now in 2025.

While consumables crafted with cannabis are currently federally illegal in the US, the 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp from a list of controlled substances, permitting farmers to grow and distribute hemp that contains less than a .3% THC concentration on a dry weight basis. Although less potent, hemp still grows from the same cannabis sativa family as what we colloquially call “weed”. And this is where we started to get hemp-derived THC products that are federally legal, and that you can buy at your local liquor store. (Note you do have to be 21 years of age or older to purchase).

There are current legislative actions, like SB5 in Texas, looking to restrict all substances with any quantifiable amount of THC in them, so if you’re in a more conservative state you might want to double check your shipping availability — as well as the state’s outstanding rulings on the subject. It is important to note that if you are required to pass a drug test for work, school, or otherwise, THC-infused seltzers will show up on your results. So stick to LaCroix if you’re looking for something bubbly!

Our criteria and methodology:

I have personally spent hours researching the best THC seltzer brands on the internet, turning to Reddit, X, and even got some recommendations from brands on this list (that’s how nice the cannabis/THC industry can be). Then, over the course of two months, I enjoyed 4 or more of these beverages a week and kept a detailed Google Sheet of my tasting notes, effectiveness, anxiety levels, and of course, taste. While I did taste some 10mg cans, I found that ultimately I prefer 2.5mg and 5mg for a balance of energy, motivation, and sociability, but that also will vary based on your experience with cannabis products (I am a very casual consumer, usually every other week).

Outside of flavor and efficacy, I evaluated each brand with the following criteria:

  • NATURAL AND LOW-SUGAR | We prioritize brands that use natural ingredients, few (or no) artificial additives, and a low amount of added sugars for drinkability
  • SAFE AND LEGAL | We look for transparent lab tests and clear labeling to ensure these brands operate within federal law for hemp-derived THC products, and have sufficient quality control
  • AFFORDABILITY | Can per can, THC seltzers will naturally be more expensive than alcoholic beverages, but we look for brands that offer subscribe-and-save options, bulk purchasing, and affordable shipping so more folks can access these drinks

Finally, please note that all the prices listed are calculated based on the lowest price available after a subscription discount, just so you can get a sense for how they cost comparatively. Cheers!

1. Woodstock Goods

Best For | Low-dose THC seltzer with functional ingredients
Ships To | Most U.S. states
Dosages Available | 2.5mg, 5mg
Flavors Available | Citrus Spritz, Yuzu Ginger, Dark Berries, Raspberry Lychee
Total Sugars | 10g
Prices Starting At | $4.04 per can (12 oz.)

Of all the THC seltzers we’ve tried, Woodstock Goods wins out for the combination of balanced ingredients, flavors, price, and enjoyment of the activation period. The low-dose (2.5 and 5mg) hemp-based THC seltzers are perfectly sessionable (aka stackable if you want more, but amazing on their own!) and taste incredible. You’ll find THC in every seltzer, but depending on flavors you’ll find additions such as CBD, CBG, CBC, L-theanine, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, and Reishi which helps keep your experience predictable and anxiety-free. If you’re watching your sugar intake, it’s good to note that Woodstock does use organic cane sugar and organic fruit juices for flavor.

My Review | “After all my tests, the brand and flavor I reached for most was Woodstock Goods’s Yuzu Ginger — and that’s saying a lot since there’s so many good ones! The experience is well-balanced thanks to the functional ingredients added, and sets in quickly, like most of the brands listed here, in about 15 minutes. I’ve found that 2.5g is a perfect post-work dosage to get a little cleaning done or to head out on a walk to see the sunset, and doesn’t bog me down if I need to do anything more thought-heavy. Since there is some added sugars, these seltzers are also great poured over ice! And finally, I know it’s not one of the most important things, but the branding on these bevvies makes them feel premium — so when I’m sipping one next to a friend who’s drinking a craft IPA I feel right at home.”

2. BREZ

Best For | Anxiety-free THC seltzers
Ships To | USA, some international availability
Dosages Available | 2.5mg, 5mg, and 10mg
Flavors Available | Lemon Elderflower, Watermelon Lime, Blueberry Lotus
Total Sugars | 6g – 14g
Prices Starting At | $4 per can (12 oz.)

BRĒZ is taking the edge off happy hour with its refreshing THC seltzers, with their flagship social seltzer blending hemp-derived THC, CBD, and lion’s mane for a mellow, hangover-free vibe. (You can also get THC-infused cans that target mood boosting and sleep support, too). With a range of dosages available, you can customize your experience — and thanks to the rapid-absorption nano-emulsification process, you’ll usually feel the buzz within 15 minutes. Thanks to the balance of CBD, you likely won’t feel anxious or paranoid, either! For a complete alcohol-free stock, you can also get a THC-infused spirit for mocktails, infused shots for quick sips, and non-THC infused seltzers for mood, focus, and sleep. Still not sure? BRĒZ lists all the lab results transparently on their site so you can feel good about what you’re getting.

My Review | “I tried all three of BRĒZs THC-infused tonics and appreciated the balancing ingredients that kept my buzz measured — like CBD, lion’s mane, cordyceps, maca, and/or reishi. I felt chill and didn’t experience any anxiety with BRĒZ, which isn’t something I can confidently say for every brand on this list. (Nothing too bad, just important to note for sensitive folks!) This brand has some of the best robust flavors, making it a great social tagalong! The only flavor I didn’t love was the ‘Amplify Watermelon Lime;’ it tasted, for lack of a better word, more dank than I’d like a drink to taste. It might have been the cordyceps or maca, not the THC, but it just wasn’t my fave. I’d recommend starting with a multipack, but if you’re going for just one I say pick the OG.”

3. Calexo

Best For | A refreshing mocktail alternative (both with and without THC)
Ships To | USA
Dosages Available | 5mg
Flavors Available | Cucumber Citron, Citrus Rose, SemiTropic
Total Sugars | 8g
Prices Starting At | $4 per can (12 oz.)

For a colorful and creative alternative to an afternoon rosé or evening paloma, Calexo has you covered. Created by a collective of BIPOC, LGBTQ, women, and allies, these seltzers combine a modern non-alc approach with laidback west coast vibes. Each can boasts a blend of 5mg fast-acting Delta 9 THC and 5mg CBD from hemp, and is crafted with organic fruit juices, natural flavors, and no added sugar for a crisp, mindful buzz. Calexo also shares lab test results online so you can review their standards for quality and compliance.

My Review | “Another flavor favorite came from my tests of Calexo: Citrus Rose. It truly tastes like the color pink in a can: it’s perfectly sweet and floral, and the can itself is a work of art I don’t want to part with. The Semitropic and Cucumber Citron flavors also have me craving ice, garnish, and a little martini umbrella poolside. 10/10 hands down some of the tastiest flavors! I really love that the brand also offers versions of these flavors without THC infused, so more folks can join the fun. Don’t worry, the can designs are quite different so no one will get a THC surprise they weren’t expecting.”

4. Wynk

Best For | Wide availability (some bars serve them!
Ships To | USA
Dosages Available | 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg
Flavors Available | Black Cherry Fizz, Juicy Mango, Lime Twist, Tangerine
Total Sugars | 0g
Prices Starting At | $4.33 per can (12 oz.)

The first on this list to not add any additional sweeteners to the seltzer, Wynk is for my die-hard LaCroix girlies. No calories, no sugar, and no hangover means you get a breezy, balanced, and subtle way to enjoy your day. Featuring a 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD in each dosage and flavor, you can switch up your flavor without changing the experience. Wynk ships quickly — and discreetly — and their minimalist vibe means you won’t stick out at the next boozy barbecue (oh, how excited I am to see alcohol alternatives grow, and to lose the stigmas around sobriety).

My Review | “At a beer garden on a recent visit to Chicago, I caught a glimpse of the Wynk cans in the refrigerator! It made me happy to see that there are more and more options for socializing without indulging in alcohol (of course, the bar was well-stocked with beers from Athletic Brewing and other NA options). Wynk gets my recommendation thanks to its light, effervescent flavor without any additional ingredients. Think: LaCroix, but with a bonus. The 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD does help with reducing anxiety, although I do feel a little more energized with Wynk so I try to pair it with something active, like an evening walk.”

5. Anytime Seltzers

    Best For | Affordability
    Ships To | USA
    Dosages Available | 2mg, 5mg
Flavors Available | Lime, Mango, Raspberry Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi
    Total Sugars | 0g
Prices Starting At | $3.33 per can (12 oz.)

Looking for sugar-free as well as a bit more CBD? Anytime Seltzers has you covered. Clocking in at 5mg THC and 15mg CBD, Anytime aims to provide the chill of an IPA or glass of wine without the regrets. Made with all-natural flavors and always third-party lab tested, you can even scan the QR code on each can to view the certificate of analysis. While you can’t subscribe and save the 2mg cans at this time (which also come with a reduced 10mg of CBD), it’s ultimately most cost effective to subscribe to a regular 24-pack of the 5mg. Split it with a friend if five is too much!

My Review | “Refreshing and balanced with just the right amount of CBD, Anytime’s drinks come in at a sweet (and sugar-free) $3.33 per can. This is the first THC seltzer brand that I’ve returned to as a subscribing customer — and I plan to continue! Last winter, I even received a 24-pack that had a burst can as well as some others that were frozen solid (it was during a huge winter storm on the east coast). The customer service team was prompt with their resolution, and friendly to boot!”

    6. Cornbread

Best For | One-stop shop for your CBD and THC products
      Ships To | USA
      Dosages Available | 5mg
Flavors Available | Raspberry Limeade, Peach Iced Tea, Salted Watermelon, Blueberry Breeze
      Total Sugars | 5g
Prices Starting At | $5.33 per can (12 oz.)

Having earned two golds, a silver, and a bronze medal at the 2025 High Spirit Awards, Cornbread Hemp is crafting some of the best flavors in the game thanks to its Kentucky roots. With few ingredients (and cane sugar, not artificial sweeteners), the brand manages to capture summertime nostalgia in a can. If you’re in the market for more than just beverages, you’ll also find hemp-derived CBD and THC gummies, oils, and creams as well at Cornbread Hemp. Sourced and made in the USA for full transparency, you’ll even be able to review the lab results for your purchased batch

My Review | “Cornbread Hemp’s awards are well-deserved — the flavors are unique and playful; I can’t believe they make such an impact with so few ingredients. My favorite was the Peach Iced Tea flavor, while my partner loved the Salted Watermelon — he said it tastes like agua fresca. There is no CBD in these drinks, so it’s notable for folks who tend to get a little anxious (like me) to plan ahead with structure, fresh air, and activity. Perfect for a beach day!”

      7. Mighty Kind

Best For | Adventurous flavors with no added sugars
        Ships To | USA
        Dosages Available | 5mg, 10mg
Flavors Available | Cherry Blossom, Banana Kush, Peach Buzz, Heady Lemon, Root Beer, Mango Dream, Pineapple, Watermelon
        Total Sugars | 0g
Prices Starting At | $5.20 per can (12 oz.)

Founded on the idea that folks can still connect over drinks imbibing alcohol, Mighty Kind is all about bringing people together in a new way. With innovative flavors, including banana and root beer, and no added sugars, the brand is changing the game when it comes to THC seltzers. Every can of Mighty Kind is vegan, gluten-free, and made with ingredients from family farms and small businesses when possible. Plus, the Mighty Kind ethos is certainly one we can get behind! If THC isn’t your mode, you can also get non-infused and CBD-only seltzers, too.

My Review | “While the THC seltzer market is filled with tasty versions of fruity lemonades (no shade), Mighty Kind offers something a little different for those of us whose tastes are a little…off-kilter. The Root Beer and Banana Kush seltzers stole the show for me personally, reminding me of flavors of yore (aka my childhood). The CBD-only seltzers are the ultimate relaxers, and do come in handy as the THC seltzers don’t contain any added CBD. I also like that Mighty Kind’s packaging is a little more blatant about what you’re about to get, with visible and noticeable warnings that it is a THC product. We don’t need ultra-minimalism when it comes to labeling infused drinks like this.”

        8. Señorita

Best For | Margarita alternatives with all-natural ingredients
Ships To | USA (40+ states, input your address for more details)
          Dosages Available | 5mg, 10mg
Flavors Available | Lime Jalapeño Margarita, Mango Margarita, Grapefruit Paloma
          Total Sugars | 15g
Prices Starting At | $3.80 per can (12 oz.)

From the inventive and experienced minds of two winemaking industry legends comes Señorita Drinks non-alc, THC-infused margarita option. Señorita’s three flagship flavors, made using organic Mexican agave and fresh citrus, have rightfully garnered top awards from institutions like High Times and the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America. With a fast activation time, full-bodied flavors, and real ingredients, you’ll be swapping your poolside beverage to one from Señorita in no time.

My Review | “My jaw actually dropped when I first tasted the Lime Jalapeño Margarita from Señorita — super fresh, perfectly spicy, and the exact right amount of pink himalayan salt were all *chef’s kiss*. The Grapefruit Paloma had me nearly booking a hotel in Palm Springs somewhere by a pool. You’ll get a little more sugar thanks to the agave and fruit juices, and there isn’t CBD infused as well, but these margs are top-notch in my book. One note — if you do want to salt the rims, learn from my mistake and don’t use iodized salt; it’s wayyy too intense, hah!”

          9. Delta

Best For | High dosage seltzers
            Ships To | USA
            Dosages Available | 5mg, 10mg, 20mg
Flavors Available | Bright Berry, Tropical Mango, Juicy Watermelon, Squeeze of Lime, Passion Fruit, Blood Orange, Pink Lemonade, Blueberry Acai
Total Sugars | 0g (contains stevia)
Prices Starting At | $3 per can (12 oz.)

Delta aims to normalize THC consumption and to disrupt how we think about winding down — without the alcohol. These seltzers come in accessible, crowd-pleasing flavors at up to 20mg doses, all for an affordable price (you can get a pack of the 20mg cans for under $5/can). Prefer the CBD like me? Delta’s got you! Every drink is formulated at a 2:1 ratio of THC:CBD. As with other brands on this list, all of Delta’s CoAs are readily available online so you can see Delta’s commitment to consistency.

My Review | “The flavors and the range of THC dosages were what caught my eye when I discovered Delta — and the prices, too! You get everything you want in a seltzer at whatever dose works best for you, without extraneous ingredients. My personal favorite is the 10mg Pink Lemonade flavor, which was my drink of choice during a slow Saturday afternoon spent doing puzzles on my patio. There’s a bit of sweetness thanks to the natural stevia, which makes it a great choice for folks avoiding sugar. (I’m not personally a fan of stevia’s taste, but if you like it, Delta’s a great choice!)”
