Please stop using keyboard covers on your laptop

I am a bit of a cleanliness freak, and if you’re reading this, chances are you are too. I like keeping my stuff clean and dust-free, especially something that I use every day. That’s exactly why I fell for the keyboard cover trap. Like many people, I thought using a keyboard cover for my laptop was a smart move, thinking it would protect my keyboard from dust, crumbs, and accidental spills. What I didn’t realize was that it would do more harm than good. In fact, it cost me my old MacBook Air M1.
