According to the South China Morning Post, it means “we are entering into a year of death and rebirth, a year to make responsible decisions to evolve spiritually, moving away from old ways and habits that no longer serve us well.” Snake years are apparently times when the world stops to think.
And every year there’s an element associated with the zodiac sign—this year is the Wood Snake. “This unique pairing of the snake, known for its wisdom and transformative energy, with the wood element, symbolizes growth, stability, and creativity,” reports the Economic Times.
