Adobe has me locked down and I hate it

I’ve been trapped in Adobe’s ecosystem for years now. The Creative Cloud subscription seemed like a reasonable deal at first, and I happily paid for Adobe’s photography plans. But somewhere along the way, I stopped being a customer and became a captive.
