Still figuring out your warm weather aesthetic? Good timing. Etsy just released their Spring/Summer 2025 Trend Edit, which clued us into all the upcoming trends—and we’re here to tell you all about it.
This season is all about MIDImalism—intentional creativity that doesn’t shy away from bold statements, but knows that quantity doesn’t equal quality.
“Think of it as curated simplicity: clean lines with just the right amount of flair,” says Etsy Trend Expert Dayna Isom Johnson. “Rather than filling a space with more, it’s about choosing pieces that are functional but also make a statement.”
And above all else, it’s about being unapologetically you. “When incorporating these styles, keep in mind that it’s about finding harmony between what’s trending and what feels most authentic to you,” Johnson sys. “This can mean anything from adding a touch of Châteaucore with vintage floral ceramics or leaning into the Maritime Living trend with striped rugs and coastal wall art.”
If that sounds daunting, don’t worry. The Etsy app recently introduced a new AI-powered browsing feature which can help in your search. “It’s packed with hundreds of trends and emerging styles, so you can easily explore what’s trending while finding decor pieces that feel like you!”
Check out the spring and summer 2025 trends below.
Maritime Living

Maritime Living is seaside style with a rugged edge inspired by serious fishermen, rather than weekend yachters. Think weathered wood, sardine motifs and lots of stripes—in fact, sales for striped rugs, linens and wall art are up by double digits. You can almost smell the salty air, even miles inland.

Island Luxe, a.k.a Resortcore or Tourist-Chic, is all about embracing the vacation vibes—whether you’re lounging somewhere in the tropics or on your couch. “With binge-worthy resort dramas and tropical chart-toppers on repeat, that craving for a little escapism is showing up everywhere,” Johnson says. Bring the beach resort home by incorporating splashes of vibrant color and natural textures into your space.

Messy Coquette

Messy coquette is the campy evolution of hyper-feminine style, inspired by the flirty and fun energy of 90s and Y2K pop stars. Indulge in bows, ruffles, and beaded everything with the undone, cool-girl edge of effortless charm. Etsy even calls this the ruffle renaissance, with purchases of ruffled home decor and fashion items soaring.

Step aside “Tomato Girl Summer”—now we’re all about the old-world, romantic Châteaucore aesthetic. “This summer, shoppers are swapping coastal vibes for countryside charm, embracing timeless, effortless pieces that channel the elegance of iconic French landscapes,” Johnson says.
In fact, French cottage decor is one of the most searched terms on Etsy, up more than 26,000%. Johnson recommends “embroidered linens, vintage floral ceramics, and a touch of gold” to enchant your home with countryside charm.

In 2025, cool girls like big books and they aren’t afraid to show it. Online spaces like #BookTok have engendered a sense of community among readers, inspiring them to express their love for literature in their fashion and design choices. On Etsy, shoppers are making 20,000 book-related purchases everyday.

Galactic Metallic

Just like technology, style is always evolving. As space tourism continues to linger in our cultural zeitgeist, Etsy shoppers are welcoming the galactic vibes at home; searches for crystal mugs and half moon lamps have rocketed upward (pun intended), increasing 700% and nearly 600% respectively. Last season was all about chrome, but this year’s prefers holographic textures, reflective fabrics, and shimmery silver. But it’s not all hard science—astrology is also part of this trend. Johnson likes to express her personal style with glassware inspired by her Zodiac sign.
