We’ve been admiring the work of Barcelona-based designer Andrew Trotter for a while now, so we took note when we discovered the 10 AM Lofts in Athens, a six-story multipurpose events and exhibition space located in a former warehouse.
Working with Gavalas Ioannidou Architecture and Eva Papadaki, Trotter outfitted the two-floor residential penthouse, which features limewashed plaster walls and polished black stone floors to give the space “a feeling of raw luxury,” as the designers say.

Here’s a look:
Above: The kitchen features dark stained wood cabinetry and a mix of new and vintage pieces. For a similar light fixture, consider West Elm’s Linear Wood LED Pendant.
Above: The brass Vola kitchen faucet adds a spark of glamour to the otherwise sober room. The walls are limewashed in Mykonos by Bauwerk Colour (for more, see our recent post A New Collection of Bauwerk Limewash Paints, Inspired by European Cities).
Above: A similar Colombian La Chamba Pot can be sourced from Bram in California. The wall sconces are from Mallorca-based lighting studio Contain,
Above: Trotter surrounded the vintage farmhouse dining table with a suite of Charlotte Perriand rush chairs. For similar light-filtering window treatments, consider Nordic Knots’ new curtain line.
