Relaxed Luxury: A Tour of Erica Tanov’s Atelier/Showroom in Berkeley

All of us at Remodelista are devoted fans of Bay Area-based designer Erica Tanov, so we took note when she recently opened a Design Studio and Showroom in the heart of Berkeley showcasing her entire collection of interior goods—furniture, wallpaper, tile, bedding, textiles, as well as antiques multidisciplinary design space and venue that presents Erica’s complete vision and ethos of relaxed luxury. Housed in an 1878 Italianate Victorian building, the studio showcases the full Erica Tanov collection of interior goods – furniture, wallpaper, tile, bedding, textiles, as well as rare antiques – and serves as a gathering space that embraces arts and leisure. Reflecting a collaborative environment that supports exhibitions from emerging and contemporary creatives, the studio is a space of inspiration and resource for designers, artists, and enthusiasts alike. vision of creating environments of relaxed luxury, inspired by and with deep reverence to nature. From curated exhibitions by emerging creatives to artful displays of her home collection in residential settings, every corner exudes inspiration and creativity. Visitors can browse and purchase items from her home décor collection, by appointment only.
