Sip with Purpose: Iron Horse Vineyards Supports Coastal Conservation

Tucked away in the rolling hills of Northern California, Iron Horse Vineyards has long been a favorite for those who love small-batch wines, big-hearted values, and the kind of tasting experiences you only find in the West. Now, they are adding a new reason to raise a glass.

This spring, Iron Horse launched a special collaboration with Heal the Bay, the nonprofit devoted to protecting Southern California’s treasured coastlines. Their 2019 Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs is more than just a delicious bottle, it’s a wine with a mission. A portion of the proceeds directly supports mitigating ocean damage in the aftermath of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires through Heal the Bay’s “Ash to Action” initiative.

A Toast to the Pacific and Clean Beaches

“We wanted to create something beautiful that also gives back,” says the Iron Horse team. “Heal the Bay’s work aligns perfectly with our values as a sustainable, California-rooted winery. Every sip supports the health of the coastline we all love.”

The limited-edition sparkling is crisp, bright, and balanced, creating quite the buzz with both wine and ocean protectors alike. The special run is an ode to everything Iron Horse stands for, which you find when you visit their vineyards. The property is where sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s a daily practice. Healthy soil initiatives, solar-powered facilities, recycled water in the vineyards and the gardens, and a salmon habitat restoration project underscore a deep commitment to the land, craft, and community.

With its Heal the Bay partnership, Iron Horse is again proving that California wine culture is about more than what’s in the glass; it’s about where it comes from, who it supports, and how it shapes the future.
