Creating a beautiful and functional entryway is all about the right foundation, and that usually starts with a great table- no matter the size of your space. Whether you’re styling a grand foyer or working with a tight hallway, a well-chosen entryway table can make your floor plan feel intentional and elevated. Today, I’m sharing my favorite entryway tables from Wayfair, organized by price point, so you can find one that fits your aesthetic and your budget. As a designer, I’ve always got my eyes peeled for pieces that feel classic and custom or high-end… even when they’re not. Every table in this roundup has a timeless aesthetic, solid reviews, and styling potential that goes far beyond the entry. These tables are versatile for many rooms in your home! If you missed it, I shared my entryway, staircase, & hall reveal at the beginning of the year. It was a huge project we’ve been tackling these past few years. Definitely go give the tour a scroll for more entryway inspiration! Otherwise, let’s get into tables and styling tips…
Entryway Tables Under $200
Beginning with our budget category, this price range is perfect for small spaces, renter friendly updates, or impactful refreshes. Don’t let the lower price tag fool you… these tables still have a beautiful and classic aesthetic.
1. Black Console Table
This barely twist looking console table includes two storage drawers and a lower shelf. It’s very reminiscent of the antique console table I have styled in the corner of my home office.
2. Antiqued Console Table
This minimalistic console table features turned legs, clean lines, and a traditional aesthetic. You could easily swap the top with a piece of stone, if you’re after an elevated upgrade. Check out this post on how to save money and shop stone remnants in a slab yard.
3. Solid Wood Entry Table
If you have the space or a staircase with a 90-degree turn, I love sourcing a round entry table. They’re very versatile when it comes to that floor plan, and you can easily add a pleated or fringe tablecloth, updating the vignette seasonally.
4. Entry Console with Storage
This charming console is perfect for adding warmth to your entry vignette. With closed storage and sleek legs, you could easily nest an ottoman or chair beneath this option, as an extra seat to put on shoes.
5. Small Entry Console
This slim profile console table is ideal for small spaces, narrow hallways, or can even be tucked behind a door. It also offers closed storage.
Designer Tip: For budget pieces, elevate the look with curated styling… think layered artwork, books, a sculptural lamp, or a catch-all tray.
Entryway Tables Under $500
This is my go-to range for tables that strike the perfect balance between style and quality. Here you’ll find classic shapes, warm wood tones, and even some solid wood options.
1. Small Entry Table
This small entry table is just over the $200 mark, making it very affordable in this category. With a classic oak finish and beautiful silhouette, it’s a versatile table for any floor plan short on space.
2. Lower Shelf Entry Table
If you’re looking for a traditional table with clean lines that would be easy to style… this console includes a lower shelf. I love the shape of this one!
3. Demilune Entry Table
This oversized demilune table has the perfect transitional aesthetic, making it a chameleon for both modern and traditional interiors, depending on how you style it. Check out this post with 15 black demilune tables for any budget (by price), if you’re on the hunt for a different size!
4. 6-Drawer Entry Console
I am absolutely smitten with this beautiful 6-drawer console. Not only does it have the perfect shape, but the rule of red always applies. Maybe that’s just what your entryway is lacking! Style an ottoman beneath it.
5. Console Table
Need a longer option to fill your floor plan? This console has a lovely form and a vintage look. If you’re not into the color, there are multiple options!
Designer Tip: Pay attention to tone… avoid overly yellow or orange finishes for a higher-end designer aesthetic.
Entryway Tables Under $1,000
If you’re looking for something that makes a statement with excellent craftsmanship (without going completely custom), this price tier offers elevated design details like inset drawers, marble, curved silhouettes, and quality materials.
1. Marble Top Entry Table
If this table looks familiar, it’s the exact one I have in my own entry. See more photos of it in this post… entry, stairs, and hall! It’s very heavy and has a classic aesthetic.
2. Solid Wood Console
This heavy, solid wood console has an eye-catching, sculptural look. It’s perfect for rustic and modern homes, alike. It would be stunning styled with books, trays, and oversized branches or florals.
3. Fluted Console Table
This fluted detail table adds just the right amount of texture and interest- and it won’t be going out of style. With an antique design, it’s safe to say you’d enjoy this console for many years to come! It also offers closed storage.
4. Classical Console Table
Looking for a timeless table that feels museum-worthy? With gold leaf details and solid wood mahogany construction, this option is perfect for traditional and eclectic homes trying to nail that grand aesthetic.
5. 72″ Console Table
This extra long console adds a luxe feel, has high-end dovetail joints, antique pewter hardware, and features both open and closed storage for plenty of styling opportunities. It’s ideal for larger spaces.
Designer Tip: Tables in this tier often need little styling to make them feel intentional. Use an editing design eye to add and remove objects within your vignette, using the table as your focal point.
How to Choose the Best Entryway Table
When sourcing and styling furniture for an entryway, I always consider a few key things. These are always at the top of my list…
- Depth & Scale: For smaller spaces, look for depths between 10–14 inches.
- Material Mix: Blending wood, metal, and stone can give a custom, layered aesthetic.
- Storage Potential: Bonus points for shelves or drawers to keep clutter at bay and out-of-sight.
- Styling Opportunity: Choose a table that plays well with art, mirrors, and lighting… or source a table with open storage.

How to Style an Entry Table Like a Designer
Even the most affordable table can look high-end with thoughtful styling. Here’s my quick formula, depending on your table size (if it’s smaller, scale back on some of these)…
- Set the foundation with books.
- Anchor and add height with a mirror, artwork, or an oversized sculptural floral arrangement.
- Layer in a table lamp or sconce.
- Include a tray or bowl to catch keys & mail.
- Finish with your favorite or signature home fragrance for a whiff as soon as you walk in the door.
- Consider adding a complementary easy seat (a chair or ottoman) if you have the space.

FAQ
Look for tables under 14″ deep and under 40″ wide. Slim, open-base styles help make a tight entry feel more open.
Yes- if you know what to look for. Stick to solid wood, sturdy frames, and strong customer reviews for longevity and style.
Styling is everything! Use my designer tricks like layering, symmetry, and playing with scale to elevate even the most affordable pieces.
Absolutely! Choose one with drawers or add baskets underneath. Top with a tray to corral everyday essentials, like keys and mail.
They’re often interchangeable. “Entry table” refers to placement, while “console table” refers to form- usually long and narrow. However, entry tables can be any shape that best accommodate your space and floor plan. As I mentioned, I’m partial to round options when styled by a 90-degree staircase.
