Season two of Netflix’s hit show Nobody Wants This primarily follows Joanne (played by Kristen Bell), an agnostic podcaster, and Noah (played by Adam Brody), a rabbi, in their budding relationship as they navigate the differences in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives. The characters experience a number of ups and downs within their relationship, but there is one point of the show that remains consistent: the city of Los Angeles.
The show was, by and large, filmed on location in and around Los Angeles. Scenes feature iconic LA spots in the background, such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art or the historic Highland Theatre building. Check out some of the spots featured in the show.
Farmers Market
In the second episode, Joanne and Noah are seen walking through an LA farmers market. Featured in the background is a Jon and Vinny’s pizza stall and an Avila and Sons booth. Though it’s not clear exactly which farmers market it is, Los Angeles hosts a number of markets throughout the week including Santa Monica, Silver Lake, and Hollywood.
Osteria Mozza
In the fourth episode, some of the characters take part in an Airbnb experience at Osteria Mozza, located on Melrose Avenue. This Michelin-starred restaurant is known for handmade pastas and traditional Italian cuisine. They also offer various classes and events, including the Airbnb Experience mentioned in the show.
SoHo Dance LA
Noah’s brother and sister-in-law take a tango class together at SoHo Dance LA. In real life, the studio offers classes in Latin Hustle, Cha Cha, Salsa, Ballroom, Ladies Styling, American Rhythm, West Coast Swing, Bachata, and Argentine Tango.
Highland Park Bowl
Episode five takes Joanne and Noah, as well as Noah’s brother and sister-in-law, on a double date to Highland Park Bowl. The location is a great option for group outings, as it offers burgers, pizza, cocktails, and of course, bowling.
Iguana Vintage Clothing
In episode six, Noah and Joanne browse the racks of a vintage store for costumes. The store featured is Iguana Vintage Clothing, which has locations in Hollywood, North Hollywood, and Sherman Oaks. Though costume needs for Halloween may have passed, Iguana has a wide selection of vintage clothing at their locations.
Superba
In episode 8, Joanne’s sister Morgan and a new character from this season have lunch on the patio at Superba on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Superba has multiple locations throughout the LA area, including restaurants in Calabasas and Venice and cafes in North Hollywood and Pasadena.
McConnell’s Ice Cream Truck
Morgan and Noah’s brother Sasha meet at a McConnell’s Ice Cream truck in episode eight. Though the truck itself does not have a set location, McConnell’s has several brick and mortar shops throughout California.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
Without giving too much away, we will tell you that the final episode features shots at the LACMA, specifically at the Instagram-iconic “Urban Light” installation. The installation is currently on public view at the Smidt Welcome Plaza, but you can also get tickets to go into the museum here.
